PT3000 intercooler

I am looking to buy a intercooler for my 1981 Z28 Turbo project. I called Precision and they recommended the New PT3000. What is difference between the older style intercoolers and the "new"? Whats the reviews on this intercooler?

i dont know how well they work but they are about 1/2 weight. a friend of mine has one we have yet to test it
