how do you meaSURE A CAMSHAFT to see how much lift it has without in in the car.i sold s used cam to a guy and he says it is not the cam that i said it was. it is a comp cam

If he does not have access to a cam dr., or any decent measuring equipment like a height gauge etc..., then he will need to stick it in a block and spin it with a dial indicator on the pushrod.... multiply his reading by whatever ratio rocker he has...

Chances are it is NOT what the cam card says anyways.
This is why I Cam Dr every cam I send out. It eliminates the guess work.
