Another converter and some nitrous maybe I can get there. Do not now if it will do it on a 275 though. 1.2 is moving out.

I've been 1.38 in 60 on a 275 m/t's. The tires seem capable of of even more.

Ok c4 is out glide is in and the converter is tight. Lets see if I can make use of that little plate under the carb and smash that 1.401 which was on motor. :-D :-D

Just curious to know.
How many here are leaving the line with no sort of electric/electronic start line aids to reduce power/increase traction like MSD digital 7, timing retard, slew rate rpm limiter, boost controller, etc.
Basically leaving the line on motor, or even leaving the line with n20 full on...no timers or controllers?
Wondering what the tires are capable of handling power wise without the need to add all the "gadgets" to allow the tire to hook???
Last season I ran 275/60 M/T radials and had a best 60' of 1.38 with typical between 1.39 to 1.42. This was footbraking a 3515 lb '79 Malibu with a somewhat nose heavy iron headed bbc running 10.0's at 132 mph. That was with no start line aid at all...just a simple MSD 6AL ignition, full timing comes in mechanical at 1800 rpm.
This season the power has increased a bit and since I have no tire rule to follow this season, I went with the 295/65 instead of the 275/60.
Also, how are you handling marginal or poorly prep'd start lines?

The first time out this year with the "new" wolfe suspension I went 1.35 60' with 295 bfg's. I think it will hold more but didnt want to get too agressive since we were racing and had the field covered by .2 and like 5 mph. Should be able to bring the boost in quicker, but only time will tell.

Well all I have is a 6-al box and the right foot traction control, no t-brake on the c4 either but the glide does have a brake. Would love a dig 7 but I do not know if I am smart enought o figure out how to work it...
