I know that Bill Lutz likes this a bunch & says nothing but great things about it. enough that he has convinced me that its pretty much the only way to fly. I downloaded the manual some time ago & seem to remember that the manual is a bit confusing. Its been some time now, but I seem to recall that the diagrams & such are great & very helpful. I would like to see a menu diagram, kind of like you would see on a web site map. we make them all the time here & it helps a lot to know what your options are & how to get where your going.

not exactly what you were hoping to hear Im sure, but hopefully some feedback thats usefull. are you guys going to make a web site/forum for folks to goto if they have questions? Or maybe I already missed I could not find one, about the only thing I could find was the NLR web site, but I dont think that they are affiliated with you guys other than that they sell your product?

The manual is a step by step instructional on how to set up and program the unit. The unit itself also has help files on most features that can be pulled up at the touch of a button.

ANy questions you gys have fire away. The unit is very simple to set up and its control is deadly accurate....and its flexibility is superior!

REALLY??? & they sell thier competitors products on thier own web site? thats odd. I just assumed that they rep'd both. No matter.

Is there any special connections or parts needed to wire up the "hold and wait" feature or is it all built in?

all built in software on 2.0 units.

Youll need to use a output from your engine management system or a tps switch and then run the wire to the #1 terminal. Needs to see 12 volts when in above your threshold tps%. For programming go to the options menu to the timer, hold timer, switch to hold and wait, then set amount of time it should wait for. Lets say 5 seconds is programmed. From the time the activation terminal sees 12 volts and the clutch or transbrake is off it will start boost control.

If you remove the 12 volts from the activation terminal the ams will "hold and wait" exactly where it is (for 5 seconds), if you supply the 12 volts back within this time it will continue to run with its program from where it left off, remove power again and it will wait agian until 12 volts is put back on the terminal.

How much are one of these units?

At what boost levels would a controller be necessary?

I am guessing I should not rely on my wastegate spring to control my boost levels?

Ive heard prices from $800-1000.

anything from your lowest boost level up(set by your wastegate), we recommend a small spring. The controller will control any amount of pressure.
