I have received a lot of positve feedback about the AMS-1000.
I have sold 6 of them already this year.

Is there any special connections or parts needed to wire up the "hold and wait" feature or is it all built in?

There is some additional wiring and you will need a full throttle switch to make this feature work, which may be challenging with an EFI equipped car.
You can also use the outputs of an EFI system to get the same result. Big Stuff 3 has Boost Controller outputs. FAST & Accel DFI has the same or similar outputs. These outputs can be configured within their tables with specific RPM and TPS thresholds to act like a throttle switch.
