turbo exhaust crossover tubing size

I'm building a 427 SBC with a single 101mm turbo.... Should I run 3" crossover, or 2.5" crossover to the flange??? I'd think the 3" would be better to relieve back pressure, but some are telling me that 2.5" would spool faster....

Which would you recommend???

I run less ci. and a smaller turbo with a 3" crossover and have no problems spooling. There are tons of other factors that determine how fast you spool.
