Vernon House of Vern House Race Cars just raised the bar for 8.5" tire racing last night at Bloomfield Indiana. Set a new record and got the win two rounds later in the final to boot.....Got that dude flyin now !!!!!!

I made a few changes to the car friday night. Bradco had made me a new converter to try out and that thing really worked great and the other was some new Plug wires I got from firecore50 thanks guys .

Yes I was running the hoosier tires. they have been working hard to make a better tire and it seems to be working .

MMMM at will ... I might be able to do that it ran 62 and 66 on the out of shape pass. I lifted Just a Bit when the guard rail was wanting to trade paint But anyhow thanks

1.30 sixty on the rear tires .. motor is a Gary Herche built big block NA can call him about size 812-767-2719

It is wrinle free shirt. Launders up real nice.
As far as weight Vern maybe over weight but, he looks about right for his heigth. The car is also ok on weight but, the weight for the class is not set right. Either add some to the N/A stuff or take off weight on nitrous cars. Have to lean on them to hard to run with the N/A stuff. That is why we are in the situation we are in now.
I agree and while we are in the mode of change so that we don't have to run all out all the time I want a special N/A weight for when I just want to run the motor that is normally in the motorhome, but I want to be competitive ya know. This can be great !! nobody will have to lean on thier equipment !!!! Even I might get competative. woopie !!!

Cuz, I know how big it is and how many differnent engine builders it ahs been to and your guy just assembled, he didn't build anything. Why don't you give credit where credit is due. Tommy T machined the motor when Turd first built and BES got it running good before you swapped him out of it. That's why.

OK wow talk about way left field. I have posted about size so thats not top secrect. I am glade you think you know all about the motor. I will tell you this much BES did the machining to the block and crank zimermans did the heads gary did the cam specs and asembled it and dyno J&E did the custom pistons now for the results when turd had it it made 1147 now affter Gary got done with it it made 1205.3 . now I dont know why you feel the need to be concernd about my motor program but now you have the facts anyway... and now I want to address the part about my guy just assembled it with thought process then we have no chassis builders do to the fact they dont make the car body the tubing the motors the welding wire etc.. so all chassis guys only assemble cars not true builders am I right? Or is it you just want to be a jackass to me ..???

I am not mad at all . It takes more than that to get me going. it was not all tore up it was not put together and I wanted Gary to change some things. I wanted to let Gary do his thing and see if He had it in him to get it done and he did what he wanted and Made the power I was looking for. Now for the guy who said it would not make that power I have no clue who that is . as for me being god No thats Gary (AKA JESUS ) I can't recall why I called him that at this time but I will ask him what started that. Now for me being the next legend LOL you must have been under a rock for the past 10 years I AM A LEGEND :supz: ... you joined this site because of me so thanks. Thanks to Vern for the help this evening, we almost got a 70 out of it tonight, Ran just over 126 mph this outing so we are on track, un fortunatly it is not the fast track. I really thought it would pull down a 70 but the tires are spent with 15 passes. Fresh rubber and a couple more tweeks and we might be lookin for 60's next Wed. night. I know I know, I am a positive thinker. !!! Trying like hell to have a 60's tuneup before the next race.
I have worked my way through the nervous crap enough to widdle down to a .100 light instead of .400's so maybe I won't be such easy pickens next race.

Nice job. You are right there. It only took us two years to get into the 80s, three for the 70s and four for the 60s. You have done it in a matter of months. Way to go.
Thanks Art, I have had the advantage of my friend and chassis guru, " Vern House " and observing everyone in the classes hard work to help me accelerate the learning curve. We are really hammering the tires now, so we have something to work with, Watching some video this morning to finalize what the next move will be.
