Press Release YWN to broadcast live digital TV from 16th Annual Peach State Fun Ford Weekend
March 10, 2006
New Castle, DE -- After several successful tests of their live webcasting abilities, the cameras of Jimmy Biggs’ Your Way Network streaming video production company will make their way to the 16th Annual Peach State Fun Ford Weekend at the world class Atlanta Dragway facility, in Commerce Georgia, just outside the Atlanta metro area on April 6,7,8 and 9 2006.
“The response to our live broadcast of the Pacific Street Car Association's Winternationals from Las Vegas last month was incredible! The show received over 250,000 hits, through the weekend, from all 50 states and 33 countries around the world. We had over 15,000 views of the live broadcast events on Friday, Saturday and the rain shortened Sunday eliminations with almost no advertising before-hand,” stated Biggs. “We knew hooking up with the heads up venue of drag racing was the right choice, for our company, and the ability to do it live has been my dream for more years than I care to count.”
Having the opportunity to partner with a world class organization like Fun Ford Weekend is a natural for this sophomore company. Premiering less than a year ago, the streaming video business hosted by Your Way quickly moved to the forefront of this emerging entertainment venue. Aided by his 12 years of broadcast and live TV infomercial background in the northeast US and coupled to his love for fast cars and cruise-ins made streaming video of car related events a natural progression for this avid automotive nut. Add the internet and web abilities of Mark Walter, a 28 year US Air Force veteran, and Your Way Network was born on February 22nd, 2005. They put up their first video from the National Street Car Association's '05 season opener, in Belle Rose Louisiana, the week after the race in March and watched the business blast off.
The heads-up leagues of Fun Ford, NSCA, PSCA, Canadian Fastest Street Car Shootout, Ram Racing and the Ontario Street Car Association are the heart of the fast door car movement that took the nation by storm just 15 years ago. With magazine coverage limited by the number of available pages aided by the cost effectiveness of WebTV over broadcast television, has Your Way on a mission to get these folks the coverage they richly deserve! When asked about the kind of show viewers could expect, Biggs told us this, “We’ll bring you every round of qualifying and eliminations right down to the interviews in the Winner's Circle at every race we attend. It doesn’t matter what class you race in or how fast your car is EVERYONE is important in our books and will get the coverage! Plus we’ll spice the weekend up with interviews and car show coverage.”
