let me first say this is the easiest recipe ever, and ohhhhh so good.
ingredients;
1 large vidalia onion
1 beef bullion cube (chicken works but isnt as good and a bit saltier)
prep and cook;
1. peel onion, but dont cut the top off
2. core the top like a pumpkin, creating a plug that can e replaced
3. place bullion cube in hole
4. cut the topper in half so it sits flat when you put it back on the onion
5.wrap in tin foil
6. grill the hell out of it, about a hour. give or take your heat range.
it will fall apart and be perfect for going on burgers, brats, steak, pork chops, chicken, or even eating by its self. ive had people who wont even eat onion period fall in love with how this tastes. next time you are grilling do this first and put it on as the coals warm and just pull it when you take the meat off.
ive been playin with grill times and it seems 45-60 min is it, anything over 90min it becomes too mushy.
