I was at the local hooters a few weeks ago (It was the wendsday special, 5 bucks for 10 wings and a 24ounce pitcher of beer,) Anyway they had this new tator tot side dish that looked good and i had to try. They took tator tots and put spicy nacho cheeze on them with sour cream, and real bacon bits (more like chunks of bacon). So last weekend i made my own, I started with a 2 pound bag of tator tots (cooked the same way you cook regular old tator tots). Then I added some warmed up natcho cheeze dip for potato chips, along with some shreaded chedder, sour cream, and some diced up strips of bacon. I't might be somthing to try as a side dish, and it's cheap.
