I shot these guys all in around 17m to 20mm of water.
They were shot single breath hold freediving / spearfishing.

Really its totally illegal?
Some real good spearfishing brands come out of the US.
Spearfishing is not permitted in Australia with any air assistance.
NO scuba or hookah.
It is all breath hold free diving.
I'm pretty sure the US is the same.
May differ state to state though.

It's totally illegal in freshwater as well. Never stopped us as kids, cop even stopped me once, riding my bike (no helmet) and asked what kind of fish i had hanging off the handlebars next to my 5' spear. Was a big ass jungle perch. He said "hmm, thats a nice one" and drove off.
I was dumbfounded.

Holy smokes! Can I come? lol I've shot a few fish with a bow several years ago, but we cannot shoot any game fish here in MS.
