2 large jars of northern beans with juice.
2 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tbls of yellow mustard
3 tbls of open pit
1/2 bottle of Heinz ketchup (small bottle)
2 small onions diced
1 1/2 pounds of lean pork (i use boneless pork chops and trim off the fat)
1 package of bacon

mix everything but bacon with a little bit of pepper.
cover beans with bacon and cook at 300 to 325 for 5 hours
remove bacon and through it out
(do not mix bacon in the beans i made that mistake once and gave them a bad taste, you just want them for flavoring)
stir well and enjoy.
i like them just as much cold.
they are thick and a little dry, not your normal baked bean but damn good
