Qualifying Round 1

DRIVER R/T ET MPH
Jeff Moyer - 0.225 @
Mike Pyott - 0.095 @

Moyer got the car to hook and put the wheels in the air and Pyott had problems off the line

Chris Miller - 0.171 10.30 @ 147
Marc Schankweiler - 0.135 8.49 @ 160

Miller in the front wheel drive Civic giving things a shot making a soft run and Schankweiler ran just a little too quick.

Brian Hedrick - n/t @
Jack Pumphrey - 1.60 8.74 @ 154

Hedrick pushed through the lights and Pumphrey made a nice pass as his car continues to run consistently everytime out.

Rob Poochigan - 0.189 15.36 @ 63

Poochigan had a scary moment as the car appeared to break something and make a hard move towards the wall. Gupsailor had a nice pass but threw the chutes out early costing him some ET.

Barry with the all motor entry makes a clean pass with the wheels in the air and Cardillo puts himself temorarily number one in the session with a nice pass

Bladen's car made a very soft run and Cerminaro still working the bugs out of his car as he just put it back together getting faster every run.

T.J Kasper - 0.079 8.55 @ 152

Martinez carried the wheels and made a nice run and Kasper shows why he is number one in points with a nice pass

Mike Pyott - 0.122 8.74 @ 156

Hedrick drops off at the big end and Pyott improves dramatically and moves him way up in the ladder.

#1045 - 0.187 8.84 @ 155
Mike Barry - 0.127 9.15 @ 143

Barry with the bracket car runs is not exactly competitive. No information on the mustang in the left lane makes a decent pass but well off the mark

Tony Cardillo - 0.20 8.54 @ 164
Jeff Moyer - deep 14.16 @ 69

Cardillo improved to the number one spot so far and Moyer left hard with the wheels in the air and came close to the wall and lifted

Marc Schankweiler - 0.190 8.56 @ 159

Schankweiler slows it down putting him number three so far. Gupsailor got it to hook up but runs out.

Jack Pumphrey - 0.139 8.69 @ 155

Pumphrey left again with the wheels in the air and improves a little to number seven. Pullen still having problems.

Poochigan got the traction problem fixed but runs out and puts him number 7. Bladen made a soft run and did not improve.

Lousi Martinez - 0.115 8.67 @ 162

Kasper giving Cardillo a shot at the number at the number one spot and runs 8.542 and Cardillo went 8.541 leaving Kasper number two. Martinez left hard with the wheels way in the air and makes a nice pass.

Mike Barry - 0.133 9.11 @ 144

Barry is the underdog as he has not broken the 8 second range all day and Gupsailor takes the easy win as he pulls the chutes early.

Brian Hedrick - 0.082 8.84 @ 156
Tj Kasper - 0.106 8.58 @ 144

Kasper qualified number two and Hedrick had his hands full. Hedrick made a good pass as he works out the traction issues but it wasn't enough as he smokes the transmission on the top end and Kasper went on for the easy win.

Vince Dunn - 0.153 8.69 @ 154
Mike Pyott - 0.118 8.65 @ 156

Pretty good drag race as it was pretty even and Pyott takes the win, but just got word from the top end Pyott oiled the track down.

Sal Arena - 0.214 9.09 @ 130
Jack Pumphrey - 0.187 8.73 @ 154

Well in yet another strange series of events Pumphrey's chute came out after the burnout but neither car staged. While the cleanup went on, Pumphrey re-packed his chute and was able to run the race. Pumphrey takes the win easily in bracket fashion.

Robb Pullen - 0.203 8.64 @ 154

Both with the same ET's but Moyer left first and drove around Pullen who finally found his tuneup but it wasn't enough as Moyer finally gets passed the first round blues.

Luis Martinez - 0.158 8.55 @ 143

Martinez left really hard with the wheels in the air and ran down Bladen with ease for the victory.

Rob Poochigan - 0.126 8.55 @ 150
Marc Schankweiler - 0.097 8.51 @ 155

Both cars very capable of running quicker than 8.50. Poochigan entered as an alternate and made a nice pass but Schankweiler was on his game as he continues to test his beautiful and newly updated Nova.

Tony Cardillo - 0.132 8.51 @ 164

Cardillo getting the bye run and the car left extremely soft but puts up the best numbers of the weekend as he is showing he is all business today.

Jeff Moyer - 0.105 8.56 @ 157

Gupsailor had plenty of room and Gupsailor had been pulling the chutes all day early to slow down, but it wasn't enough this time as he breaks out and Moyer moves on to the next round with a stellar pass.

Jack Pumphrey - 0.149 n/t @
Tj Kasper - 0.039 8.68 @ 132

Pumphrey dodged a bullet last time with the parachute falling out and being able to re-pack it and take the win. However, this time he had a tough customer in Kasper but had ignition problems as the car popped big time off the hit and Kasper took the win easily

Tony Cardillo - 0.084 8.51 @ 163

Pyott was leaking last time and got it fixed and ended up breaking out and Cardillo remains on his game with his tuneup with another 8.51 pass to take the win.

Martinez broke in the waterbox and Schankweiler got the single due to breakage and runs it out with a nice pass just a little too fast.

Cardillo is been almost untouchable running almost dead on all weekend long. Jeff Moyer has had a great day and knew he had to set it to be dead on but runs out in a close side by side race.

Marc Schankweiler - 0.122 12.82 @ 65
Tj Kasper - 0.045 8.61 @ 138

Kasper had lane choice and Schankweiler was all over the left lane and he had to get out of it and Kasper went on to yet another final as the young man from New Jersey goes on to another final.

Finals

Tony Cardillo - 0.057 8.57 @ 162

Number one and number two qualifiers squaring off in the finals. Cardillo has been the man all day with consistent 8.51 passes. However, Kasper once again shows why he is the man to beat here at Cecil County and puts up a stellar package to take out Cardillo in a close final. Congrats yet again to Team Kasper and car owners Gil and Dot Christy on back to back wins
