What are you using for a traction device?
Most people use mono for the weight savings and Cal-trac springs monos have different spring rates and they use U-bolts.

i have j bolt bars and stock muti springs with a stock shock. the car is hitting the tire and then moves out and the unloads the tires. i was wanting to get some weight out of the car i was not sure if going to mono was the best thing to do. but i see stock elimator nova and camaro with the front wheels a ft in the air.the car is 60 ft a 1.58 on a good track when it does spin. runs 11.40's . i 'm foot braking the car also and it only has a 3500 convertor. got a 4500 to go in it.

What is your front end doing ? Does it porpoise ? does it set down too early ? Are you running good tires how old are they can you run a taller tire or wider ? there are a lot of things that can affect your 60ft . I think a 1.58 60 ft is pretty good for an 11.40 . As for the 4500 your gonna have to look at your combo . Your engine may not make as much torque at that RPM as it does at 3500 . It may like the lower RPM better . Bigger isn't always better . More info is needed to make that decision . I have a friend that runs J bolts in his Nova and it runs 10.50's so they will work . You don't need Mono leaf you'll do fine with what you have just look what your entire car is doing not just the back end . Shocks will do wonders for your car.
