As most of you know today was the meeting for the quick 16, in general it turned out good and was a productive meeting :-D For the last couple of months I have been asked where I will be going in September to race, and I have told people that I would not make a decision until then. Now that the meeting has been held I've made that decision, I will be racing at St Thomas in September with the majority of the heads up guys which will also include Andrew lennon. My self and Andrew have talked and I speak for both of us that this is the event we will be attending. Let it be understood that this is nothing personal against Chuck Fram,I just think that the best interest of the heads up racers in going to be at St thomas. I am still hoping to attend the Spring Shoot out in Grand Bend as long as Chuck does not have a problem with that and that the quick eight is still a heads up format. I along with everybody that attended this meeting today hope this event will be very well accepted by the racers and the spectating public, I am sure that Dave and Linda Mathers will do everything in their power to see this happens and that is a fun and safe event for all. Hope to see everybody there. DAVE

Well its good to here that people are finally making a decision as to where they are going. Based on the meeting it looks like 90% of the heads up field will be there. It looks like there may be some pretty stout cars coming out this year. It will be interesting to see who is the 1st Windsor Shootout winner. So who do you think may be the top runners :smt064

Not quite sure why your anonimistly attending and not sure of your questions but I will give it a shot they don't have to be street cars but they must look like a street car (no lift off front ends etc.) big tires okay, no delay boxes, any size tire you want, NO blowers not even a little little one sorry it is the NA class the rules are posted somewhere on here I will repost it for you.

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/images/icons/icon1.gif N/A Shootout rules
Here are the new N/A rules.

Any street appearing car/truck with street tires or slicks of any size. Any rear suspenssion (stock style, ladder bar, four link). Automatic or manual trans. (No lencos) trans brakes are allowed. Stock interior/after market seats allowed. Floor must be carpeted and rear seat is optional, open headers are allowed, no electronics (delay boxes). No one piece front ends, no painted on headlights, lift off hoods are allowed. All vehicles must pass tech, certifications up to date, proper driver licencing. Rule are basic and must be met, any unsportsmen like conduct will not be tollerated.

We will apply a 2600lbs base wt @ 300 cid.
300-460 cid @ 2lbs per cube + base wt.
461-620 cid @ 3lbs per cube + 320lbs + base wt.
620 cid max.

ie. 427 cid

2600lbs + (127x2lbs)=254
2600lbs + 254=2854lbs 427 cid @ 2854lbs

ie. 540 cid

2600lbs +(160x2lbs)=320+(80x3lbs)=240
2600lbs + 320 + 240 = 3160 540 cid @ 3160lbs

Weight rules were based upon past representation of the class and what is best suited for the class. We will revue this for next year after this years event.

Thank-You!
