Just a shout out to all who are thinking about having some Chassis work performed, Do not take you car to HighSpeed Welding in Chicago, I had Struts and Rack put on my 68 and to make it brief the strut arms nearly collapsed both wheels going in differant directions on the first drive around pits, Thank God the track had starting light problems and race was canceled or I would have surley wrecked car or worse,

First of all the arms you speak of are purchased from a major strut manufacturer NOT made by us. Secondly when YOU dissasembled the struts and K-Member we built for you for painting how do I know you assembled everything correctly? As I remember while the car was here you had bashed eveybody who worked on your car prior to me,and if I do recall there was a few well known shops chassis wise and motor wise that (fucked you) I'll name them if you'd like in case you forgot who you told me they were, and in the same breath you also said there are NO good chassis shops in Missouri and that it's to bad High Speed Welding is so far from St Louis. If you picked your car up and went right to the track as MANY of my customers do (with incident)and this happened I could somewhat understand the bashing, but again we didn't make the part.

Yes but you set it up, caster was at 17 degrees, tires are set back not square in opening, the struts are at a angle that puts the intire strut arm possition up thats why you had to bend arms and put a 2inch spacer between strut arm and rack arm to get it even, caster is so bad the car rises up when you turn car car has alot of bump steer, the rack is about a 1/8in from balancer, in order to remove motor you have to remove tires and drop intire k.member I chose High Speed on advice from another racer and yes I have complained about other chassis shop in St.Louis, also about engine builders, I have said it before on this forum and to you personaly The race industry is Chassis builders, Engine Builder ETC. all give the same story 2 weeks to get it done, we are the best, bla bla, take the money and you don't stand behind your work, Simple put I could have been killed if I would have been on track or destroyed my car, if as you said take it from shop to track, I had to spend another $ 744.00 just to get car some what driveable, Stand Behind your work, take some pride, Do the right thing and solve the problem and you would get alot more bussiness out of it

I stated many customers have picked up cars and went right to the track without incident, not touching anything I've done EVER.17 degrees of caster would have put your top strut mount on your firewall,I think you need to take some measurements yourself and you'll see evey mount is well within a 1/16th of an inch on your k-member from ANY point on your stock framerails or stock crossmembers.I also remember telling you in a phone conversation when your car was here that your fenders were NOT the same side to side, they were made in 68 and fiberglass parts are NOWHERE near the quiality of today's shit, and they were not the same or maybe you don't recall me telling you that.If I recall I bought new arms had them sent to me next day and then sent them to you NEXT DAY AIR all at my expense so don't tell me I don't stand behind my work.As far as the spacers thats what's needed to be there for your configuration, and droping your entire k-member that may very well be but that's what happens when you stuff 5 pounds of shit in a two pound bag.NOBODY is gonna please everyone in any form of business and from what you've told me when your car was here I don't think your happy with anybody's work as you said you've talked about other shops.I'm DONE,LATER
