View Full Version : index exhaust rule??

I want to run in the index at etown, i have flowmaster mufflers on it. they don't exit behind the driver door, the car is a monte carlo ss with the looooooong ass doors. the mufflers do exit behind the drivers seat, right before the back seat floor area. about 2 feet past the tail housing.

What if you run bullets that exit in the middle of the door?

E town is looking for "chambered" Mufflers, Bullets are a NO, no matter how quiet the car is, Now i used Hooker Aerochambers, they are a chambered muffler, and even in only 3.5" they didnt slow my car down over the bullets that were on it, put 90 or 45 off the mufflers facing each other and youll be surprised at how quiet the car is...Mike you should try to run an 8.50 at Etown, i dont know how far it is for you, maybe if they have one that coincides with a Cecil race...

I want to run at e-town. I need to find light chambered mufflers.

I went with Magnaflows... real nice not so light. 4" in 4" out. turned inward toward each other also.

But they are not chambered. Do they look for a full bodied muffler and call it good?

Birdman passes the muffler tech NO problem, im running a Hooker Aerochamber, cant say for sure that they didnt slow the car down yet, only got 6 passes on them so far...They look for a "chambered" muffler, Birdmans car is on the ground, maybe they cant see them LOL BUT they are pretty quiet....
