How is the NMCA race there?

I have that weekend off and have allways wanted to go to an NMCA race and wanted to go to the finals last year but had to work.

I would like to take the wife up there this year as spectators.

It is a great facility but there is a lot of walking to be done. Last year the weather was great and there were a ton of cars.

Not scared to walk, for ORP events you have to park past the far end of the track, walk to the other end then back back the way you came but on the other side to see all the vendors!

I told my wife I wanted to take here.

good time,s .......me and some friends have gone to the past 2 super bowl,s ....we usually play hookie and go on friday ,,,we load our trunk,s with food boose what not ,,and park on pit side up close to pits =south side)so it not a far walk to refill-eat ,,,alot of cars come out for it around 500 iirc,,,,first year i dont think they expected 400+ cars to show,,,it was supose to be over early evening friday, at 9pm they were still tecking cars and running ,,

im sure weather pending we will be there again this year on friday (were cheap,lol)

Right now I am on my THIRD lay-off scare in less then a month (I hate aviation these days). As long as I am still empoyled then it will be all good and we will go.

We'll be there in the vendor area and, if all goes well, have a couple 8 sec. G-bodied True Street cars under our tent. Def. a good time and one of the nicest tracks around.

Looks like we will be there for at least Friday and Sat. No car though.
