OK I got out of school in '74 and yes I'm old.....During school the Tree Huggers (Flower Children in the '70's) were crying Global Freezing temps were going down from Pollution blocking the Sun's rays.....I checked out of Politics (accually I was never in then) I didn't watch the nightly News or read the paper....started having kids in the early 80's and when I started paying attention to things in the early 90's We were talking Greenhouse Gases/Global Warming...........What happened in that 15 year period?...where was the switch...when was the switch made???Now I get accused of being for Pollution......The same people who have blocked new refinery's from being built are screaming about high gas prices.....There is a balance that can be made from/for both sides

What say you???

OH Yea....I don't believe in Global Warming....I think there are trends that make temps go up and down....Trends that we have no control over

Once they keep studying the environment.....I think they will find out that everything is cyclical.

After Mt. St. Helen's 1st eruption back in the 80's they notice if I remember correctly a average of 2 degree drop in the planet's temperature.

If anyone saw Super Volcano this past weekend if Yellowstone Park becomes an active volcano (yes Yellowstone is a dormant volcano). Another neat fact about Yellowstone I didn't know...it is the planet's largest volcano. If it erupts and turns into a super volcano the globe could go through a global weather change due to the ash shielding the Earth's surface.

There is no such thing as global warming due to polution. There was a one hour special on PBS about this and the facts are!!!! There was a such thing as an ice age!!! I don't think cars and companies made the ice melt back then...

I think its all down to you chaps using turbos which pollute the air with all that heat just use a nice ECO friendly ROOTS like the the Sierra club members do in their off road jeeeeeeeps,
any one going to the tea party in Boston this year

But....let's look at the Kyoto Treaty which is based on junk science that fits the environmentalists agenda.

What is the Kyoto Treaty (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/2233897.stm)

Bush Defends Rejection of Kyoto Treaty (http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2001/3/29/164418.shtml)

It is human arrogance to think that we can have an impact on planetary weather besides large scale earthscaping (i.e. large scale eradacation of rainforests). Since Mount St. Helens started erupting in early October 2004, it has been pumping out between 50 and 250 tons a day of sulfur dioxide, the gas that causes acid rain and contributes to haze.

These emissions are so high that if the volcano was a new factory, it probably couldn't get a permit to operate. All of the state's industries combined produce about 120 tons a day of the noxious gas.

We;;, all I know is something is going on...the frog population in the Anazon is dying off, and frogs never do that, they only increase...they are way below their reproductive level..some say it's polutants in the water where the tadpoles grow 8)

A report recently came out saying that the "clean air" initiatives are actually increasing the Earth's temperature and the long term effects could be terrible. lmao...idiots. The hole in the ozone is the Earth's natural chimney....think about it. It doesn't take a doctorate or decades of studies to understand how that works. One large volcanic eruption has more negative effect on the atmosphere and global temperatures than humans have during their entire existence. I like this politics forum....lol. Many times I thought of adding one at our site but didn't want to deal with it.....lol.
