No Pat this is not the same Windsor Weekend that is run at GB this is much better than that one we will have Windsor's fastest street car's and the fastest NA car's the fastest sport compact's and the fastest bike's and sled's and the very best of the best in all the bracket class's they will all run at St Thomas Dragway on Sept. 15, 16 & 17. If you want to see real racing this year your gonna have to go to St Thomas to do it, come for the racing stay for the party and it will be because everyone will be there. :-D

As for the hostility you must have missed it then because these are the same couple of guy's that always stirred the pot over there too, pay no attention to them we don't :wink:

Hey Rick how ya doing, All the class's are Windsor only but I have an open invite for all OSCA head's up racer's to come and test maybe even a little grudge racing and if you can't do that just come for one hell of a party you won't be disappointed I promise :-D

am am not calling you out or making fun of you or what your trying to do.... but like you said in a previous post, its only jan 31, so how can you say this is going to be the best ww, or better, alot can change between now and sept. but this just comming from a guy sitting on the fence and watching rocks thrown over his head from one side to the other, just remember guys its all fun and games untill someone loses an eye....

Keith can't you have someone from out of town come if their car is built in windsor/essex county?

I believe that was allowed last year in the NA class after all the local drivers agreed to it. Clarify this with the organizer. :wink:

Your right Angie the NA class had a little different rule as to who could run and it has been there rule from the start and I will not change it that has to be up to them, but the Q 16 and other class's are Windsor and Essex county ONLY and that's something that also will not change.

Sitinlow your right it's a little early to say that it will be the best ever event but it will definitely be the best of the two but considering WE HAVE the fastest Windsor street car's WE HAVE the fastest Windsor naturally aspirated car's
WE HAVE the fastest Windsor bike's and sled's
WE HAVE the fastest Windsor sport compact car's
WE HAVE the fastest and the best Windsor bracket car's and OH HELL we just have the BEST PERIOD! I mean who wouldn't want to come to a race to see the fastest of the fast, race there car's and get paid as much as humanly possible it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see what's going to happen :-D

I agree with ya, but the fact remains if they would all want that then why turn down the idea of a possible vote? And on the other side of the coin if they somehow voted to allow it then the majority would be for it making it the prefered idea...

Seems like a win win to leave assumed descisions up for a vote. :wink:

As for all the racers thinking they are "elite" You are mistaken. Besides you are what you call yourself a "SPECTATOR". If you are going to speak, Know what you are talking about before you shoot your mouth. They are working on having a jet car and many other forms of family entertainment ! So you shouldn't talk about what you have no knowledge of ! Besides ...THE Wonderful Jet Car gets paid more money to make "1" pass than the winner of the Quick 16 , Natural heads up class, or the winner in any other CLASS!! Its funny, I went over to RaceWindsor and no was was shit mouthing over there, yet justmyop seems to think it's important for him to spout off about how bad the new WW will be. We get it you don't like the new event, thats pretty clear so why the need to continue on running your mouth?

Pat M. I don't think they are talking about you but it's very upsetting to some when people who will not identify them selves make accusations like justmyop has been doing but I don't think you meant any harm so don't worry it wasn't directed toward's you.

It's really very simple you see WINDSOR WEEKEND INC. is a registered business that is owned by us and has NEVER been registered or owned by anyone before, if it was we couldn't own it now, but we do, and can prove it, people in the know know why we registered it and understand it was the only way, apparently you don't but it's no big secret so I will tell you. People and I mean allot of people weren't very happy with the way thing's where being done for WW and talk has been going around for many YEAR'S about trying to fix the problem the old promotor was approached many many time's with suggestion's and request but it was alway's the same story "if you don't like it go run your own event" so you can see that we aren't dealing with a very flexible person here, but we also realized we didn't want to run a second event it would be much better for everyone to stay together, so we needed leverage you know something that would MAKE the guy come to the table to deal with us to make this a much better event for everyone, so we registered the name (because no one ever did) and we booked a date at another track and we go all the racer's together that wanted change and had them sign a letter of intent ( we had over 200 signature's in two week's over the holiday's in the middle of winter, that should tell you something right there) so we figured we had the leverage we needed so we sate down with the guy to try to make a deal, well it worked he talked, and we worked out a deal a very good deal for everyone the racer's got what they deserved MORE MONEY and a say in how thing's were done the other guy got $15,000 for doing way less work then he did before his brother and sister inlaw got payed, we payed for the web site, his helper's got payed and his buddy got a FREE sponsorship a value they put at $7000, he remained as race director we offered him 20% ownership in the company etc. etc. basically we agreed to everything he wanted WHY because it was the best thing for everyone, so we had a deal or so we thought the next day we got a call saying it was not going to work out :smt013 so I headed back to give it one more try, well now I needed to pay $6500 for jet's $2500 for firework's $900 for kid's activity's the track rental and security jumped up $9000 he wanted us to pay $2000 for a class he wanted and we had to pay his wife to run the web site and on and on when it was all said and done everything added up to almost $50,000 :smt013 one we felt that that was too much that money was better spent going to the racer's and two it was clear he just didn't get it this was to be done on a vote basis from the racer's on what they wanted not what he wanted.

So we decided we had no choice but to do our own event and Yes it was to be called WINDSOR WEEKEND and why not we own it right, so we sent letter's off to them saying they are not to use the name they ignored it and sent us letter's back saying we shouldn't use the name so we go to the top trademark and registered name lawyer in town you know the $400 /hour kind and they say we legally own it but that anyone at anytime can take anyone else to court for any reason and that it would easily be five to ten grand and as high as twenty grand to defend it, well it don't take a rocket seintest to see it is not in anyone's best interest (not our's not the racer's) so we decided to put a different name on the St Thomas Dragway schedule, that's not to say we don't own it because we do or that we can't use it because we can if we choose too but remember the name was never anything but a tool to get the guy to talk to use we did that and now it has no use too us.

So there you go WE aren't trying to confuse anyone and trust me no one is going to St Thomas by accident remember there were 500 car's and 5000 spectator's at WW and since there are really very few people that go to WW that don't go to see a friend race, that mean's every race car bring's about 10 people with it like I said we have only been at this a short time in the middle of WINTER and we have over 250 car's so fare and that mean's over 2500 people as well and it is growing, every day it get's bigger and bigger :-D As for this being a new event your right NEWER, BIGGER, BETTER, MORE MONEY, MORE FUN the reason we refer to the old event is because we have over half of the old event and by September we will have over 3/4, remember we have ALL the head's up class's and allot of bracket car's and the bracket number's get bigger every day :-D
