The Chase For An NTR Championship Begins With Anarchy In April

The opening round of the 2008 Jegs ET Points Series at National Trail Raceway will have a different feel with Anarchy in April presented by Cincy Speed hitting the track. The attempted rise of power that comes with anarchy will begin on Saturday April 26th. The freshness of a new season will be enhanced even more with the addition of the Outlaw Street Madness series and the United Manual Transmission Series South Division.

The OSM series brings some of the best 1/8 mile racing action throughout the entire Midwest. These high powered machines test the will of every competitor in their quest for ultimate performance. The high powered Pro Street and Xtreme Street classes bring the crowd to their feet with the unexpected each and every pass. While many series have picked up on the 10.5 inch tire competition, the OSM goes to the next level with their new Outlaw 8.5 inch class. These brave warriors will test their might on some of the smallest tires in the heads up arena. Along with the 6.50 and 7.50 index classes, the OSM has something for everyone.

Are you ready to see the real thing? The UMTR brings their high-flying act to the track to begin the 2008 season. The UMTR provides drag racing like it used to be. Don't expect delay boxed, throttle stopped automatics or cookie-cutter dragsters here. The UMTR's jaw-dropping, high winding, wheelstanding, bumper dragging, ring gear stripping, clutch blowing stick shift doorslammer drag racing brings back the wild, unpredictable days of drag racing in its infancy. Funny car-style burnouts, high-reving dry hops, screaming 8000+rpm wheels up launches and out of shape shifting at midtrack keeps the fans in the stands. You never know what to expect when the UMTR hits the track.

In addition to all of the racers from these two great series, the opening round of the Jegs ET Points series will take place. All of the racers throughout the area will be going after not only the event win, but also a leg up on the chase for the 2008 NTR Track Championship. Scotty Rienschield (Super Pro), Dan Trainer (Pro), Ray Block (Sportsman), Norman Burchett (Super Pro Motorcycle), Bob Burt (Street Motorcycle), McKennah Martin, Shawn Pitts, and Derrick Beach (Junior Dragsters) will have the target squarely focused on them as they will look to win another championship in 2008. Some of the best racers in the entire midwest make their home at National Trail Raceway, so don't miss the action.

Anarchy in April will begin at 8:00 AM when the gates open. The show starts at 9:00 AM and eliminations for all series will start at 2:00 PM. Spectator admission for the event is $12 with children 12 and under free with a paying adult. For those that want to try their hand at drag racing, check out the NTR prices for the Jegs ET Series. A simple street car can easily fit into the Sportsman category. For more information on Anarchy in April call 740-928-5706.
