I am planning on putting in a rear cross member in my 72 Nova to relocate my shocks behind the axle do i just go from frame rail to frame rail or should it be lower.
also when I set the drive shaft angle does it matter if i am not using the tires that I will race on I plan on running 28"tires for racing but have 26" on my street wheels.
Thanks

I made a crossmember for my duster for the shocks and just put it between the frame rails @the same height as the stock location, works great......I allways mock up with what I plan on using but I dont think it will make a difference...

I would say get the driveshaft angle close though. You can always adjust some angle with the suspension, but it is best to mock everything with the parts you plan on using. Just my two cents.

Also remember to get the car to race weight (including driver) when adjusting/setting up the suspension. I use weights in the drivers seat, distributed accordingly, when setting the car up by myself...

Spanking the BB's is EASY. It's the other small block cars that you need to worry about "Ole Chap....Cheerie Oh....God Save The Queen....and stuff." :smt065

Set the PA just as if you were going to put it down the track right after that. Weight in the driver seat and race tires on and ready to go!
