The as of the end of 2004 the US has closed its 9 year old involvement in Kosovo. US forces are to be replaced by a force from the EU.

A small force of 150 US soldiers will remain, tasked only with hunting down the war criminals, Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. Who evaded capture for for over 9 years that the US has been in Kosovo. Another force of 100 US troops will remain in Sarajevo to act as liasons with the incoming EU force.

It is interesting that Karadzic and Mladic had not been captured over the course of a 9 year manhunt. This makes it obvious that that finding a single specific individual can be a daunting task - and this is in a somewhat urban environment. It is also interesting that the US public seems to be more patient in this case than in the case of Osama bin Laden.

We have had more success in Iraq compared to Kosovo....but now Sen. Kennedy is calling for a withdrawl of forces from Iraq. Where was he for the call of troop withdrawl from this action?..........

**CRICKETS**.......none of those this time....try big LOUD BOMBS!!!!

I support the U.S. and NATO military actions now taking place over the skies of Kosovo. My prayers are with our pilots as they undertake this dangerous and difficult mission.

Our goal is to prevent further appalling atrocities in Kosovo. America and NATO have a clear and vital interest in stopping President Milosevic's aggression now, before other nations in the region are drawn into this brutal conflict.

We have gone the extra mile for peace. But the only language that President Milosevic understands is military force. The above quote can be found here: http://www.senate.gov/~kennedy/statements/99/03/1999325631.html <----notice the ADDRESS!!!!

Ahhhh Senator Kennedy.....I don't remember Milosevic blatantly declaring that he will shoot down US Fighters in a UN Sanctioned "No-Fly Zone" like Saddam. Also I don't remember you leading the charge to develop and exit strategy for Kosovo either.
