The shop I deal with is planning on running the drag radial class this year, they've picked up a stacker trailer and have asked if I would like to bring my car to a couple events. Problem I'm having, is I don't know what class I'd fit into. Car's built to run at 9.5 index speed, runs on slicks, weigh's around 3300 lbs. There's no way I can pick it up to 8.50 this year, and obviously the outlaw 10.5 if out, and from what I read in the rules the big tire seems a little out of reach, nevermind that I'm running on a 28x10.5 et drag.
What class would a mid 9 second car fit into? I'm not opposed to bracket racing, as long as a transbrake is allowed. I haven't got any delay boxes or any of that in the car, and if need be I can footbrake it and just unhook the transbrake, but would prefer to leave off the brake if allowed.
Thanks in advance for the info!

What is the general speed range in the Pro street class? I'm just wondering if I'd be better off running the car on motor ( should be around 10.3) or spraying it (car will run right on the 9.5x #), and with how much. There's nothing worse then trying to run down a car that's leaving on ya by 2 seconds, and having cars that are 2 seconds faster go flying by ya in the last 50 feet, that's not much better.

Not a chance that I"m gonna be able to compete with that. I have a car that will run in the 6.teen to to 6.0x in the 1/8th, that's not gonna cut it.
Sounds like if I take my car, I'm bracket racing with guys that are way faster. Probabaly means I'lll leave my junk at home, just go help the shop with their car.
