I believe it's Giallo Halys, code LY1K. There is also one called Verde Ithaca, but I don't have the paint code for it.

Let me clarify. Giallo Halys, is straight yellow on a Gallardo, not the pearlescent. The pearlescent yellow for a Gallardo is Giallo Midas, code LOG1. The Verde Ithaco is a Murciallago color that they call yellow but is actually a pearlescent green color.

Or how about Milnar's yellow 3 window coupe in American Graffitti -- "...cross between piss yellow and puke green..."

I know that PPG has the formula to mix the lambo colors using their DBC basecoat system.

do you know if it is available in dupont also? the guy helping me out with the body and paint prefers dupont paint. Or should i say he is a lot more familiar with dupont paint. my neighbor and i are redoing the body on the car here is where we are at at the moment.http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p50/BIGMAC1971/DSC00625Small.jpg

Ok, Giallo Evros is the the color. It's paint code 0055. At least in PPG DBC, 1 gallon of paint(1 gallon bc and 1 gallon of reducer for 2 gallon's sprayable total) would run right at $400. Then 1 gallon of 2021 clear(1 gallon of clear and 1 quart of hardener for 5 quarts sprayable total) runs right at $300. So you'd be looking at $700 in bc, clear, reducer, and hardneners for enough for an allover.

Oh, also......... yellow sucks at covering darker colors underneath. For that reason I'd use a light primer and possibly spray a white sealer or get a quart of white paint as a base to spray the yellow onto.

K-36, it is tintable. but for yellow i would seal it in white. with like DP epoxy primer.
BTW the price of paint has gone up alot. a gallon of reducer is $35 now and paint is well over $130 then you have catalist(hardner) for the clear and the price on that has gone up alot also. You will be well over $1000 in paint, clear, primer and supplys

repainted my entire car. Cost was about $3K or more in just materials for the primer, paint, cleaner, thinners, activators, etc. That was just 2 solid colors too - no metallics or pearl or anything.
Could have just about wrapped it cheaper.

well my car has been back together since early april. it was a lot of thrashing to get it ready. And the first time out with the car the hood clips let go at about the 1/8th. taking out the hood winshield and new fenders. so fixed it and was out the following week. I just need to paint the car now might be a little later this summer. I changed my mind on the color I think i am going to go with gunmetal gray with black stripes. anyway here are some updated pics of the car after all the sheetmetal was done.
