Is there a specification a seat needs to meet for racing. Looking for pro-street seat, comfortable for street duty yet good for racing…

Mike, I'd suggest using at a minium a kirkey seat. Plasitc seat are junk. I never could under stand why anyone would spend $50K on a race car and put in some plastic seats. Most of the higher end companies like Momo, etc are making some cheaper seats that are in-expansive, yet still look good.
