In the area of wheelie bars, what type bar would work well with a 3350# 69 Camaro with ladder bars and a SBC on a glide w brake, 5500 stall? I haver never run wheelie bars and am not sure what I need. I am trying to include two sites that will show (1) how my car has launched for a number of seasons......(2) how it has changed with the addition of new 200# parabolic mono leaf springs and the additonal change from a holley 950hp to a dominator 1050, 9375 list. Both launches are with 150hp Nitrous. Last time out my car was damaged due to this wheelstand and a stuck throttle on the dominator. Appreciate information on what I need to look for in a good wheelie bar/front travel limiter in order to go foward instead of up.

I moved this one to Bill's section. He's the man to answer this type of question. That second pic looked EXPENSIVE !!!

slowing and/or limiting front end travel alone should cure your wheelstand issues if you do not have limiters or a good adjustable shock right now.a limiter kit is about 60 bucks from moroso and strange single adj shocks are 150 ea.i would start there.if you still end up needing/wanting wheelie bars i would suggest myself or tim mcamis 75" set.as long as you can fit them in your trailer and don't mind the $800+ for a set.tim and i both slip fit the cross bars to spread load and prevent cracking.hope this helps.

Ok I will follow your lead and start with the travel limiters, already have adjustable Konis. Thanks for your info. I'd like to stay away from wheelie bars if possible due to our stock appearence. Is the screw type limiter as good as the cabel limiter? Both are available....the screw type looks stronger?????

screw type work fine,i always use the cable type.they package well in any car.i forgot to mention to start w/about 2.5" of travel and go up from there for more transfer.

My car likes as little travel as it can get. I'm at about 1.5" now. If I could get less travel I would.
