Ron Crookshank (RocketRon) took over 50 members here for over $1600. Ron stated he would make carbon fiber license plates for paying members and would also accept donations for the US troops. After 10 months of promises, exuses and continuous lies members are still waiting for their plates and troops still have no donations. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY AND WARN OTHERS OF DOING SO AS WELL!!!

Is there any possibility that for whateveer reason he has not been able to get all this kicked off and can not get online to talk with anyone? Or maybe by seeing the negatives from everyone is not knowing what to say or do if he can get online?

What I am asking, is is there still any possibiliities he is caught up into something he made a committment to do and maybe can't and doesn't know what to do to make things right?

Truly honest people do not turn into crooks. Maybe he is caught in the cracks of all this and is innocent but not knowing what to do? Didn't some of you say you have known him a long time? If you have known him a long time and do not ever know of him doing anyone wrong intentionally perhaps he is still honest?

Anyway, That is only 1 cent of what could have been worth a 2 cent opinion.

If he can't produce the work for whatever reason, how about returning each members money back, thats the only other way to make it right. I was personally looking forward to getting my plate cause I collect shit like that, but its turned into a disappointment after all these months.

I paid for 2 (two) carbon fiber plates from Ron along with a little extra for donations. I recieved two pieces of fiberglass with the YB decals on them after 10 months of waiting.
I will say that Monty went above and beyond doing his part to make someone else's goof up right though.....

Are you sure you received fiberglass. Carbon fiber looks very similar but is lighter, stronger and a lot more brittle.

Mine was a hybrid, It had one ply of Carbon and backed with fiberglass for strength, Lets face it it is not a structural piece so it does not need to be 3 plays of carbon. He could have use a nicer piece of carbon for the face though, A nice tight 2x2 twill is what most associate with carbon not an open plain weave, but I got what I payed for.

All I know the supposed carbon fiber that our plates are made out of is nowhere near the carbon fiber that was pictured in the prototype plate that Ron posted initially to guage interest.

I am sure after everything that went down we just ended up with a much cheaper fiberglass plate that has a real thin coating of carbon fiber on it.

I think the plates Monty sent us look much better actually. Thanks Monty!
