Does anyone still use the Evac system that welds bungs into the headders? Bought one years ago but never installed it. Just wondering if I can still use it? It is a Moroso #25900

They work but I don't think they pull much vaccum.

If you use it make sure to cut a V slot in the sharpest point of the tube. Holding the tube up and down you would see a V-slot at the lowest point. This will help pull a little more vacuum.. Also make sure to install them at the correct angle..

Monty, do you have a picture of this, I'm not visualizing this, or at least I'm not sure I'm visualizing it right.

I ran a evac on my 347 and it seemed to pull pretty good, i had it installed on both sides. its probley better to run a evac, then not running anything at all. my oil sure stayed alot cleaner!

I have used this set up for years, they seen to work pretty good, just watch out on the big end, what I mean in the 1/4 mile It gets sucking so hard it will haul the oil out of the valve cover and cause a big smoke screen on the other end of the 1/4.
I have had to put a restictor in both my tubes going down to the 1 way valve to the headers, I just slid a pipe nipple in it up where it hooks to the spicket that goes into the valve cover. I used an extra hose clamp to hold it in place.
But try it first and do like Monty said, try notching it,,that will relieve it some, should work, if not you have an alternative fix.
Hope it helped
Tom
