Are titanium exhaust valves not a good idea with a turbo? I have ti valves and was wondering if I should swap them out for inconel.

I have been told that the titanium valves will not handle the heat. I guess it all depends on the tune up. I've heard of people running stainless valves. I run the iconell/super alloy stuff in mine.

Bummer. I hate to use anything other than titanium because the valves in these Profiler heads are so long they are going to be heavy!! Oh well, we'll give the inconel a shot.

Inconel valves here as well. It's worth it for all the heat they're going to see. The titanium stuff has been tried by a few people. Not sure how well or how long they hold up.

the melting point of Ti is 1650 deg.with exhaust temps approching the melting point it begins to crystalize and breakdown.failure
