Lets hear your thoughts?

You'll see more cars in the 60's and if the right person at the right track with the right air can put it all together you WILL see a 50.

I predict that in 2008 that the CHebby Engines will be the dominate engine combo again. :smt115
Heading towards 22 to 1 then any other engines combo ran.
This will be a increase from 2007 of 17 to 1 Chebby Engines owners in all the fields.
By 2010 it will be a ALL CHEBBY ENGINE FIELD! :smt065

Are you referring to NHRA Pro Stock Mark?
As for the BB's dominating, I bet we will see the SBF and Chevy's as the ones to beat.
Jeff Chandler

I hope so Tim because that would mean your running with us:)

Dont know what Im gonna do yet,not real happy with the shootout deal thats gonna go down next year. Busted my butt to get in the eighth spot and then get punched in the face.
Jeff Chandler
12-22-2007, 12:39 PM
I wouldn't worry about it Tim, they will change it like they did last year. I was told only top 8 guys from 06 would be allowed to enter and if their were no-shows then they would have no one other than 06 competitors allowed in. After our shootout they changed. Go figure.

Should be a good year!!!! Crazy how much quicker the class gets every year.

12-24-2007, 09:55 AM
I believe low 60's high 50's will be more common.
The quality and technology of the class is overwhelming, Pro style cars are being built, chassis are lighter and more efficient, engines are fitted with the very latest technology. Man..........., If I had half the technology available ????
This one time entry level street class has turned into a sophisticated Super Stock or comp car class and I don't see an end to it .
Who remembers 10 years ago, Real Street. Cagle winning with low 10's ETs.
I'm still running the same junk, and still not winning!!:(
I think a new class should be born : Nostalgia Pro Stock , compile all the old junk and race! :-D

I remember when Cagle went 6.99 at 101 in the Buick and that was unheard of. The next year at Moroso, 46 cars tried to qualify for a 32 car field. I think the number #1 spot at that race was 6.53??? People were spraying, glass front ends, 434" motors, 18* heads with 23* intakes rolled to fit. If you had a 10k motor, you were a player, now even if you have a 10k set of heads doesnt guarantee anything.

My prior Buick was a clone to Steve's car...It was a cool scene in Bolwing Green when I parked with him at the Buick Race in '97.
Wasn't hard to get a Buick to run like that............But now,The parts don't exist to keep up w/ a Buick that won't go "BOOM"!
