Do we really wanna stop drugs coming into this country? I often see cops saying "we are looking for a drug dealer tonight" Ummm hello!! Who here can not find the drug they want with asking just 2 people for it? There is no fight. It keeps people employed. Cops, lawyers, judges and hospitals make good money with drugs being around.

Around 10 years ago the CIA were busted trafficking most the drugs into this country. What ever happened to that? OJ became the headlines and everyone forgot about the CIA. I thought the CIA was to make this a better and safer place to live?

Are we really trying to stop drugs coming in? Your opinions....

Again, Jimmy, Dude......quit with the bulging eyes!! your giving me meth flashbacks again. Seriously, great point Monty. Speaking from the position as a recovering meth junkie (it's taken years to get over my shame to even admit to it publicly) this a tough issue to deal with. I don't have a lot of experience with other dope, besides alky, but here in west GA. there is no importing meth. It's a local epidemic in both abuse and manufacturing. I don't have any good ideas besides educating and being honest with our kids. I am with mine. BTW, I invite ANYONE struggling with meth addiction to feel free dicussing this subject with me. That goes for folks who are dealing with a loved one who's on it. If I can save anyone 1/2 the pain it/I caused my family and myself then we'll all be better off.

Rod that is very cool you can speak out about it, admit you had a problem and are willing to help others. I have never done hard drugs.. Some pot and opium and that’s about it.. I think I smokes something funky once that had something in it but wasn't sure what it was. All I know is I was fucked up. But even a person like me ca get any drug.. anytime.. almost anywhere... I don't need a 3 year operation to get it.. I just go to the local corner and ask..

I don't make a habit of airing my problems, but a forum like this is a good idea. I'm know expert, but I had a problem so I educated myself on how to fix it. I'm willing to share.

I gave up all chemicals at 28 years old.....I lost friends to heart attacks.....I have had 2 body shops.....whatever was in the paints/thinners made me crave drugs....so I got rid of the shops.....its a shame 'cause I'm good at bodywork/paint.....but it's not good for me(Coke) (Crank) I only used to drive a truck longer....work only....(Crack) Tried it 20+ years ago its a bad drug....'cause when you smoke it.....you want more right away.....so I knew that was bad shit...left it (Pot).......I need an entire night to talk about it

The war on drugs......if you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it again and again.

One word.... prohibition....

They tried to abolish spirits and you got the "Roarin Twenties". How do you think the Kennedy's came to being. Joe Kennedy was a bootlegger.

This would be one of the times I would agree to taxing something. Legalize and tax just like what was done for liquor and cigarettes.

Use the tax proceeds for awareness programs and health programs associated with drug use.

Is it a total solution.....NO....but I think it would be a step in the right direction to the point of abolishment. But I think that is a pipe dream within itself.

There is too much money being made fighting the war on drugs to ever see anything this radical come to pass. It is a vicious cycle and I don't see an exit ramp.

There are too many COUNTRIES that rely on drugs as a viable export and contribute to their GNP to see it disappear in our lifetimes.

Damn Sledge, I agree with you bigtime. Because it's seems such a daunting task to deal with, I've resolved to do my best closest to home, as in my immediate family and my church family. Education and candid answers to questions seem to working ok for now. I've got a 16 and a12 year old.....damn scary.
Jimmy, Thanks for shareing, I don't always like being the lone ranger, you rock dude
Let me say one more thing about this, If you don't want to here the fact (in my mind and heart anyway) that you'll have rough time beating this stuff without God in your life....you may not want advice from me. That my friends is MY HUMBLE OPINION............Now let's have group hug.....Fa get about it....

Hell No!!

I say we legalize any and all narcotics, anabolic steroids, Especially those, all and any other type of now illegal drug, since I've been out of the scene apparently much longer than Monty, I'm no longer familiar with the lingo.

I say we just let anyone who wants to do drugs do it!

Oh and lets have the taxpayers pay for it too.
