To promote interest in both the All-Motor series at Milan Dragway and in their own racing engine capabilities, Holbrook Racing Engines of Livonia, Michigan sponsors the Holbrook All Motor Tuning Challenge series. At each such event, the participating* series competitor with the best average E.T. during qualifications is awarded $200. At the conclusion of the season Holbrook will also award the competitor accumulating the most individual event awards a $1,000 bonus at the Milan Championship Banquet.
By winning the 2007 season individual event tuning challenge four times, Darrin Mag, of Livonia, Michigan is the winner of the Holbrook All-Motor Tuning Challenge. Darrin, the father of two owns and operates a lawn and grounds Maintenance Company. Darrin has been racing for 14 years, and is in his 3rd year competing in the All-Motor series. Darrin’s car is a 1995 Ford Mustang, which is powered by a small block Ford engine which has been bored and stroked to over 400 cubic inches. Darrin is a customer of Holbrook Racing Engines, and relies on Holbrook for both engine services and tuning advice.
Darrin’s best elapsed time is his record-setting time of 8.36 at 163 miles per hour, and he has reset the All-Motor series elapsed time record 3 times.
Darrin is planning his new powertrain strategy for the 2008 season, with the hope of repeating his 2007 success. Holbrook Racing Engines will again be Darrin’s choice for his race engine services.
