painting cars any flat color !!!

was woncdering if i can get some details on painting a car a flat color? is it a specific paint you have to use, bodyork prep differnt then a normal paint job, finishing work any differnt ? anyone with any info will help thanks !

like you want to do flate black or something?Prep is all the same you can do it base coat clear coat and put a flattening agent in the clear to give you the flat look.
Or you can do what alot do,tint the primer and leave it.lol
but i would stick with the clear and a flattening agent.

su basically find the color i whant... add the flatning agent to it and then clear it like you would clear a normal paint job ?

the flattening agent mixes in with the clear.The base coat will allready be semi flat,you just need to add the flattening agent to make the clear not shine.I have also seen guys mix base in with clear and if you do that it turns the color muddy looking and i am sure thats not what your looking for,so thats a heads up on that.

i did my ford with flat spray paint. it faded out after a month pretty much but looked great there for a little while haha
