Hutch any experience with the switch pitch option

I had a th400 with a switch pitch converter in it for a while. Seemed pretty cool, but I did eventually brake it where the input shaft engages the converter. This just seems like a great street strip idea as I've seen some advertised for 5000rpm high and around 2300 low. Any advice or just stay with a standard type race converter.

A switch pitch is a great idea unfortunately I have yet to see one survive in applications with any sort of power. They have come and gone just like the lockup converters .
I would suggest staing with the conventional type converters for now but I know there is a design similar to which your refering to which we should see on the market in the next year or so.

Take care ,Hutch

Actually, I can't believe none of the converter companies looked into this. Just think of the possibilities.

varying ranges of converter stall,
could be timed based or used to tighten converter with nitrous

could be adapted to a lock up type feature, Use the pressure to apply a racing grade lock up clutch

the selling features are endless..
