I don't have a specific answer, but did run the radial drag slicks, and the radials like lots of pressure. The more you can run and not spin, the faster the car will be. I would start with at least 18 psi and go up from there till you loose consistancy. The higher the pressure the less rolling resistance, and that is what makes the radials fast.

I don't know if this is common practice with a drag radial but some people like to drive around on very, very low tire pressure when they are breaking in a new set of MT ET radials to break the sidewall in a little prior to inflating it up to race pressure.

Given your light weight, I'd probably start at 14 lbs and go up or down from there using the highest pressure that will still hook consistently. Air pressure requirements are somewhat proportional to vehicle weight with heavier vehicles needing more air, lighter vehicles less air.

I prefer to keep the burnouts short for mazimum tire life...still hooks fine with real short cleaning.

I myself run 275/60's right now and have around 60 passes with the tread looking in pretty decent shape, 60's still real consistent. I myself set the cold air pressure of the 275/60's (on a 9.5" rim) at 16.5 to 17.5 lbs cold which yields a hot pressure between 18 to 19 lbs.

Hi
I would start at 14psi and work your way up. I have a 3300lb car and run low 9s with the mt drag radial, at 17.5psi. The burn out depends on tire presure and the HP of the car, but I have found that a tire temp after burout between 160- 180degreas works best.

Hope this helps Mark

I run a 315 mt radial on my car it likes 14.5 going into the burnout and samll burn out works best for me I try to get the tire temp around 130 to 140 deg coming out of the burnout box my car weights 3520 with me in it it's been a best of 9.43 @140.88 best 60ft. to date was 1.34
