Looking for a small block either 350 or 400 would be nice if it was 30 over also possibly stroker clearanced already. Just gonna make a 383 or 433 stroker street/strip motor. Thanks.

1969 4 bolt block with a 618 casting number. I think its a Corvette block if it matters. Its bores are 4.061, bored/honed with a torque plate for moly ring, burned blasted, cam bearings installed, needs freeze plugs. Block has been decked, clean up cut just to square it up. The 3 large top cooling holes are plugged (needs small cooling holes drilled in it, 3 small oil holes in front tapped for NPT plug, block has been deburred. Lifter bores touched hone. The boss where the dip stick is located is ground off to clear my (Ed Quay) large tube headers. I never used the block after it was machined. Sell for $ 750.00. The block is not clearance for a stroker 3.750 crank, but I can tell you this. I built a 383 for a friend using a aftermarket HD 5.7 3/8 rod bolt conning rod. The rods and crank cleared, just to be safe, I gave it more room. Its real easy to clearance grind the block and rods if need to. I used a 12" nylon wire tie as my clearance Gage to check the clearance. The wire tie is about .050 to .060 thick. You're clearance will be dependent on what rod you use.
