Was wondering what you guys are using for valve springs in roller applications that see some street time. I'm running a set of K-Motion 1650 springs in my sbc with a .700" roller, and with 45 1/8 mi. passes and about 600 street miles, I have 3 broken intake springs. I'm not too impressed with these and was wondering what everyone else is using. Thanks for any replies, Chris

PSI, Manley Nextek, or LSM are about your only choices in my opinion... not necessarily in that order either.

Thanks for the reply Chris! In your opinion, should I be running a 1.625 or a 1.630 spring instead of the 1.550s I'm currently running? Thanks again, Chris

What are your current spring pressures? A friend and I use PSI's and haven't had any trouble with them.

Right now, they're at 190-200 @1.950. They started out at about 220 on the seat. The guy that set them up did not get them set up tight enough, and I'll be setting them up myself this time. They were supposed to be set up at 1.900, which would still have left enough clearance to avoid coil bind, and had them at around 260 on the seat. I'll be looking into some Manleys and some PSIs and see what I can find.

I'd need your cam specs, rpm window, what type of valvetrain, what kind of valves..... I see installed height is 1.900... yes, it looks like your guy didn't do so good.
