I have a couple of basic questions on what certain tuning will affect on the car. It's a heavy,#3720 with driver 31W tire car.Wheelbase is 116 in.How does wheelbase affect the length of IC ? Will my car like a longer or shorter IC.What affect does the height of the IC have on the car ?Is there a negative affect to having the upper and lower bars spread apart too far,for example at the axle upper bar in the top hole and lower bar in the bottom hole (13in. apart)My best 60' were 1.24 and prior to wheelie bars, now I can't get it out of the 1.3's.Last weekend I lowered the bottom bars to extend the IC to "47 and only 4-3/4 up,this made the car bounce 3 times and ride secondary wheelies with every bounce.Best 60's were at about 42 out and 6.5 up, but that was before the wheelie bars, now I think that tune is hitting the bars and unloading the chassis.
Any help?

Just curious, what type of car is it that has a 116" wheelbase and what times are you running in the 1/4?

1972 Monte Carlo. Fastest ET was 8.39 @ 163.5 with a 1.33 60'. When the car had less power it would go 1.24-27 60' running 8.65 @156. The whole 330 was better when the car was slower. If I could duplicate the old 330's I'd probably run a .20 or maybe even a teen.

I am not a chassis expert, but I run the same ET as you Mike. My bottom bar is 2 degree up hill to the rearend. The bottom bar in my opinion should always be between 2 degrees and 0 degress. My bars on the rearend are about 13" apart and on the chassis there about 11" apart. My car is in the trailer so I can't get exact measurements. My wheelbase is only 109". My 60' are about 1.18-1.20 but my car is only 2400 pounds. Do you have a anti roll bar? Hope that helps, but every car is different and reacts different to changes. Hopefully Gilsbach can help you out better than myself.

Percentage is %52.5 on the front,Wheelie bars are 55 in. long.I'm not sure of the wall thickness, they're from the A.R.T. Pro-Kit. 7.5" up.I actually have solid and spring loaded, best 60' has been with the spring loaded.I do have an anti roll bar.
