I am surprised I have not seen any posts on the LSX shootout here. This is happning with the NMCA race in Memphis....soon.
Racing Classes:
LSX True Street Challenge (Saturday Only)
This class is designed for “true” street cars that are licensed, insured and capable of making a 30-mile police escorted cruise! Each racer will run three back-to-back passes for an overall average E.T. Awards are given to the overall fastest, runner up, an the closest average to 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 seconds.
o $500 Win + LSX Bow-Tie Block + 6’ Trophy + Jacket
o $200 R/U + Plaque
o $200 + Plaque + Jacket to 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 Second Winners
Free entry into Sunday’s bracket race or LSX Showdown class.
Drag Radial Shootout
Heads-up, power-adder class that runs on drag radial tires.
o $3,000 Win + LS7 Crate Engine ($18,000 value) + Jacket + Plaque

All Motor Shootout
Heads-up naturally aspirated class for all motor enthusiasts.

Saturday LSX Showdown competitors run in True Street class for competition or for time trials; Sunday they run in Showdown class.

The dyno challenge is open to anyone who thinks that they might have the LS combination with the most horsepower!
