Anyone have experience with body wraps? What is involved? how much does it cost? who to buy from?
Thanks

Just had my race car wrapped by RageWraps. I'm very happy with the job. I don't want to get into quoting prices but it's cheaper than paint. Take a look at the before/after pics.

I like it! Is there any body prep I need to have done or could I cover over primer/ sealer? what happens if a body panel gets damaged?

It can usually go straight over the paint job you already have. If a certain body panel gets damaged or something, you don't have to replace the whole wrap, you can just bring off the section it needs.

My new car isn't painted yet, only primer. If I have to paint it first then I can. Will the wraps cover up imperfections, rivets or fasteners? How thick is the wrap? how long does it last? Sorry about all the questions but I'm very interested in this process.

PM Member IMSM. That is Phil from Rage Wraps. He knows all the details. My car was painted but I didn't have to do any prep work. I dropped it off Monday and took it home Friday.

These are great questions. Ive wondered this kind of stuff myself. I wonder if they could get on here & put up a FAQ or something like it about wraps. its not something that you see every day, but you see it more & more.

I got a chance to see a wrapped car in person. Do all wrapped cars have an overlay where two or more pieces come together?
