lt1 mechanic?

I've got a 94 Camaro with a lt1, its been sitiing for about 4 years now and I sstarted to drive it a little today and parked it and it left a good size poudle of engine oil on the ground after I parked it. I looks like its coming out of the rear of the engine? Is there a common problem with these?

LT1's are notorious for rear intake leak.

I think that is common for all engines, if you let them sit for a long time, then start to drive them the gaskets can get dry rotted, hard and brittle from sitting. then they are no good when you start to drive the car again.
