I picked up a set from summit. I made a template and spaced the holes out evenly on both sides of the rim. 8 on each side. But when I went to open up the box of screws I said holy shit these are huge! Now I'm not sure these are the right size. I haven't drilled the holes yet only punch marked them. Can anybody take a pic of their rim so I can see how big the head of the screws are?

The screws I bought are 1/4" in diameter by 3/4" long. I punch marked the holes on the very outer edge of the rim. Did I do that right? Thanks guys for any help.

How Mickey Thompson recommends doing it:

I only did 8 on each side (inner & outer, 16 per wheel) of mine, and none are at a 45* angle.

Thanks MCM. I was going by summits directions which aren't as good as M/T's. Ya I'm not gonna do the 45* angle either. Its just gets me that these screws look so big. But I check up and several manufactors make them and they all appear to be the same size. Thanks guys. -Mark
