Trust a guy that's been down that road get the best fuel you can it's MUCH cheaper than piston's, I've run the pro mark 5 fuel it's a 114 octane and it was disastorous use either the torco 118 NOS fuel or the VP NO2 120 you might think 300 isn't much but it's a plate and by the time you figure out there's a problem you'll need a set of piston's

Second that. If you have a split fuel system C16 for the motor and Torco NOS for the nitrous.

VP NO2
Im spraying 2 foggers on my junk and the fuel is VP NO2. It will give you a little bit of a margin for error as to where c16 you have to be dead nuts on a big tune. Im spraying the 2 foggers at around 600hp and I have yet to nip a plug let alone "ventalate" a piston lol. I know I know :WGAF Right?

Probably 80%-85% of the IHRA T/S guys run VP fuels without issues. Seems to be fuel of choice......

I'd go to the VP no2 it's alot cheaper than new piston's and what ever else it takes with it

Monty, you can't save the fuel you had 2 years ago,it's time to buy a new drum
Myself I run the Torco 118 nos fuel, as far as I am concerned its the best fuel on the planet.
The thing is, you should use the proper fuel for the application, if you run nitrous, use nitrous fuel!! The fuel is designed to slow the burn rate down so you can acheive proper ignition timing, that being said. there is a small window ATDC that the fuel acheives the complete burn cycle.
By doing this,(running your timming more advanced) making more power and less chance of detination. I could go on here forever with this topic, but I am not going to, If anyone would care to talk about this,I'd be happy to.
All I am going to say, and I stress this is to use the proper fuel for the application, don't try to cut corners, the old saying goes,,,you Ready?
You can pay me now, or you can pay me later!
I been around racing engines for the better of 25 years, and have learned the hard way on occasion.
So all I can say, is don't skimp on the fuel system, personally I run 2 fuel systems, 2 pumps, 3 sets of fuel regulators and tune each system,(meaning flowing the fuel on each regulator.)
I also run Torco 118 nos fuel in both tanks, 1 for the engine and 1 for the nitrous, I have had alot better result in this method. Trust me 118 nos may cost 10.00 a gallon, but that cheaper than piston, rods, and bearing, plus many other parts.
If anyone would care to talk about anything, feel free to PM me, I'll try to help you if I can.
Have a great 2006 race season. and be safe.

I would just stick with a new drum of fuel every year, buy sealed drums,
not really sure of how long fuel is good for but I would say it will prolly keep a year or 2 before it starts going bad.Just becareful where you store it and keep the drum sealed up tight when not in use,as it will evaporate and get contaminated. Just my .02 on the deal.
