Hey Guys,

I have a mustang that has been running Nitrous and not streetable and I'm looking for a change. I already bought a Dart 9.5 deck/ 4.125 bore and putting back on the street with the glide. My intentions was to do a 4.100 stroke, 4.155 bore with some 74CC Highports, fogger and some pump gas. Well know I'm think about a Blow thru setup with smaller CI and a decent Turbo. I just don't have an idea on what size CI/Turbo works best or the cost of one of these. This is going to be a street car and will be on the track numerous occassions with stock suspension. I know, just how fast do you want to go will depend on cost. just look at what the plans was with the Nitrious set up I would go with. All help and guidance would be appreciated.

I would say for a 400+ a single 88mm or 91mm turbo would do. as you can get 91's in a mid frame turbo. But what it really comes down to is how much power you want to make. A single 88mm on a 400ci motor, depending on who's 88mm were talking about could make 1200+ hp. and of course less power than that when you turn the boost down. As far as cost, I think the least expensive way to go, would be to find a Kit that has all the hot parts, Like headers, crossover pipes and flange. you need to know what turbo your going to run first, so you can tell them either a T4 or T6 flange. Most 88mm turbos run a T6 flange. Then simply run your charge tubing to the carb. you will still need wastegates and a blow off valve. Best guess off the top of my head, about $5000.00 or more to get going.

hope this helps,
Jerid
