Ok, We have a '65 Vette and are going to get a LS6 for it. Currently we have a brand new 496 with edelbrock aluminum heads and all the good stuff and were going to try and make around 700hp on pump gas, But now, We are switching over.

So, We are getting an LS6. Looking around 1000hp on Pump gas that can be driven everyday if we wanted.

Should we go Single or Twins? What size? I was thinking maybe twin 62's or a single 76 would get the job done
Will we need an intercooler? Just a simple Air-to-Air deal?
What kind of wastegates?
Is a boost controller needed? Car will be driven around on 275/60 Mickey Thompson Drag radials, But I think 1000hp still might spin from a roll when we jump on it.
What material should the headers be made of?
If I remember correctly the Cold Side is All Aluminum?
Thanks for all the help!

you would be pushing a 76mm close to its limit trying to make 1000 hp, i would suggest something more like a gt47-80 or 88, a large air to air will make the power if you have the room to fit, we use the HKS or JGS wastegates, hks are nicer but pricier...i would seriously consider a boost controller at those kind of power levels and a small tire like that...as far as header material i would suggest mild steel steel headers for a street car and yes do the coldside in aluminum...i can get you all the parts needed if interested

Carb or F/I.
BS3 and Fast have built in features for control.

Carb you will need a 7531.
76 will be a little short on getting you to 1K.
JGS for w/g and bov , made in America too.

You can use Alum on the hot side too.

Robert, does he NEED a 7531? Won't the 7535 do?
Just wondering...

We already have a Digital 7 with the Boost retard stuff. Will that work?

All of those could work. Depends on how much control you want.
I would go and loo at 80-91.5mm turbo with T-6 flange, for a single.

Precision just came out with a water cooled 76mm. A buddy has the water cooled 70's on a sbc 427 and made over 700 already at only 12lbs of boost
