Anybody else run a 400 bg pump on their street car???

I have a problem with mine,,, if it ever sucks any air it will not re-prime it self. I have had to crack the line to get it to suck fuel again... i was wondering if it's just mine or do they all do this??

I know, i know just keep the cell packed and i won't have this problem...

Is the pump inlet below the tank?

I have had the same problem with a paxton 300 it seem's the big pumps don't suck very good but they push like hell so you just need to keep it from running out and I don't know what design impeller's they have but mine uses the feul to lube the rotor in a teflon houseing and if ya run it dry it starts to chew the teflon then go's up into the regulator and the carb so be carefull on that one

I ran mine on the street for years . Only about 600 to 800 miles a year though.
Monty and Zeke are right though. The pump really needs to be gravity fed if at all possible

Yea the inlet is a tick below the cell outlet fitting...
If i hit the throttle a few time hard it will usually re-prime. But if i am in a situtation where i can't do that i need to crak a line. If i crack the line it will pick up instantly,, like right now!!!!

It has only happened a few times, after the first time i just realized that i need to keep the cell at least 1/2 full or more...

Thanks for the help guys...
