You need to give up alot more information for someone to match up with their combo and let you know what works for them. Too much can cause detonation and really put the hurt to the inside of your engine.

advance it till it blows up then back it off 2 degrees. Just kidding but more info is needed or some dyno time.

it has steel heads which are ported they are dove heads it has 10 1/2 to 1 comp. pump gas. solid roller, dominator. distributor is locked out so im looking for the total timing. does that help? thanks.
Most BBF like less total than you may think or heard of. I would say no more than 34 total but start at 32 and see how it likes it. Mine likes 30 on a good hook and 25 on a slick track. It is a 13.1 alky race only DOVE headed 472.
