Does anyone do this, if so how does it work? Just wondering if I will have to much big end movement in the ass end of the car.

I ran a 28x10.5 slick and 28x12.5 ET Street on a 15x8" wheel for years. Never had any problems. Handled just fine on the big end. I know many people who have also done it with success. Go for it!

I can't tell you how many 10 second runs I've made in a 3,600Lb GN with an M/T 28x10.5" tire, on the stock 7" wide rims. They cup a tad, but I sure wouldn't worry about an 8" rim.

when we started in REN and were running in the 9's, we ran 28x10.5's on 8 inch rims. It wasn't too bad. BUT we eventually switched to 10 inch rims and it was more stable when we were running mid-8's. I think it depends on how fast you're going.
