Heavy Flexplates

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge on using heavier flexplates offered by JW, CSR, or Meziere? Do they help reaction times, 60 foot and are they worth the extra dough? Are there any problems with clearance? Any help would be appreciated.

The only time they will help is with a 2 spd trans and a high stall speed on a low hp application. There heavy and generate a lot of stored energy when on stall to help a lower torque application accelerate and help carry it through at the shift point. If you have a 3 speed they will just slow you down.
